This winter hike takes us through Le Col de Jaman, a legendary passage known since Roman times, which has seen the movement of troops for battle, acted as a trade route between Gruyere, the High Country and the Riviera, and then served as a postal route where the mailmen exchanged their bags. We will leave the train station of Hauts de Caux, for le Col with our snowshoes. After a wonderful, well deserved fondue at the auberge, We will return in the direction of Gruyère pour to take the train to the other side, via the « Pierre à Guillet », a famous historical point on the border... discovering animal tracks left by the local fauna in the fresh powder along the way..
